Manufacturing Fibrex®
Renewal by Andersen has a rigorous manufacturing process that uses small pieces of wood that are recycled after manufacturing millions of windows on a yearly basis. These pieces of wood are reclaimed and repurposed into wood fibers, making Fibrex a genius and eco-friendly material.
These wood fibers are mixed with a proprietary polymer to create the composite material called Fibrex. Afterwards, to extract moisture, both components are heated.
To finish the process, pressure is applied to the liquid polymer. Since its invention, Fibrex has saved 90 million boards of lumber.
