Maybe, however, you come up with your best ideas when you’re sitting back, relaxed, and not pressured by time constraints.

STEP ONE: Upload Your Photo
Before you begin, we recommend taking pictures of your home, especially where you intend to install your patio doors. Any camera phone should be enough to take good pictures on a clear day. Save the best photo on your computer, and then visit the Visualizer page using a compatible browser. You can try the Visualizer with our sample photos, or you can upload your own.
STEP TWO: Prepare the Photo
Before you can design, you have to “teach” the Visualizer to recognize elements of your photo. First, the picture scale: you’ll be telling the Visualizer how big your home actually is. An orange bar will appear, which you have to resize over an area that you know the measurement of, such as the entry door. The Visualizer will then do later calculations, including your door replacement design, based on this scale.
This will only be a guide, so don’t worry if you don’t have the measurements down to the smallest fraction of an inch. You will then need to identify the existing windows and doors in your picture by drawing shapes over these areas.
STEP THREE: Design Your Patio Door
Once you have all preparations out of the way, you can begin designing your own patio door. Virtually mix and match any combination of door styles, grilles, and colors, and see them “installed” in real time on your own home. You can make and save as many designs as you want.
STEP FOUR: Share Your Designs
You can print or save your design for later use. The saved image will also contain a list of materials and specifications, which can be handy if you want us to build that particular design. You can also choose to share your design with your friends through your Facebook and Pinterest accounts.
